Astra Film Festival, one of the most relevant documentary filmmaking events in Europe, offers every year in Sibiu (Romania) a vital and exciting meeting place of world cinema.

For 26 years now, non-fiction film lovers, general audiences, and professionals from all over the world have attended the AFF editions each October to live an enlightening experience, by exploring and understanding the human condition through the edifying cinema of reality.

 

DocumentaryTank@AFF, Astra Film Festival’s industry program, mirrors the ambitious mission of the festival to explore and understand the human condition through portrayals of culturally diverse contemporary societies and presents a favourable environment for a range of networking and project development opportunities. The aim of the program is to encourage the development and growth of Romanian and European documentary industries and of its current and future filmmakers.

 

Industry accreditation

 

Industry accreditation is meant only for film industry professionals. The accreditation is directed to producers, directors, cinematographers, editors, sound designers and other film production professionals. It is also directed to representatives of film festivals, cinemas, distribution companies and other film industry organisations. Proof of current professional activity is required for accreditation. Every accreditation request is reviewed individually and you may be asked to provide convincing proof of your professional activity (e.g. an up-to-date CV or a detailed filmography).

 

Please note that the Astra Film Festival reserves the right to reject applications.

Industry accreditation includes:

• – Free entry to all films in the festival program (subject to availability)
• – Complimentary Astra Film Festival catalogue
• – Access to masterclasses and panel events running throughout the festival
• – Full access to the Industry program
• – Festival Video Library (throughout the festival dates)
• – Daily networking socials and parties.

 

Applications for accreditation can be made online until October 1, 2019. The Astra Film Festival carefully checks every successfully submitted application and reserves the right to reject accreditation. Applicants will be informed of the AFF’s decision via e-mail. Accreditation passes can be picked up at the Guest Desk inside the Festival Centre from the first day of the festival.
